Why we're proud to have New Zealand Travel Tips in our corner

Nobody hears from more first-time visitors to New Zealand than the people running New Zealand Travel Tips. So when NZTT got behind Road Ready NZ, it meant a lot to us.

NZTT was started by Sarah Chant at the end of 2019. She's an award-winning travel writer, tour guide and former airline reservations consultant. What began as a Facebook group has turned into one of the most engaged NZ travel communities online. It's run by a volunteer team of moderators who answer real questions from real travellers every day, and there's a website full of guides, itineraries and local know-how to go with it.

Plenty of those questions are about driving. Which side of the road? What's a one-lane bridge? How long does Queenstown to Milford actually take in winter? NZTT sees the nerves and the gaps in knowledge well before a visitor lands, and that's exactly the problem we're working on.

NZTT's support matters because they reach travellers at the planning stage, long before anyone's standing at a rental desk. It's the same idea behind our platform: get people ready before they're on the road, not after something's gone wrong.
